DPS formula is calculated as follows: (Lvl 42 Job Attack Stats + Set Attack) / [42 / (Lvl 42 Job Speed Stats + Set Speed)]
Miscellaneous gear is added only when comparisons require it in order to fill gaps.

The best archer set available is Foxy Furs in combination with Capt. Willard Paint. It's first in terms of attack, defense and health, almost second in terms of DPS and has Chance Up as set bonus. The Honored with Leprechaun Hat, even if it is low on attack, defense and health, has the highest DPS value and should be taken into consideration as an option.

The best set combinations for berserkers are Braveface with Sardaukar Turban, Braveface with Lion Mane and Lion Pride with Cogeye. Lion Pride with Cogeye gives more defense and health, Braveface with Lion Mane has the highest DPS, while Braveface with Sardaukar Turban is somewhere in-between. Besides these, Lion Pride with Monacle seems to be a more defensive alternative to Lion Pride with Cogeye.

The best cleric set available is Zebra Print, having highest magic power, defense, health and second highest DPS. Chancellor has the highest DPS and seems to be an alternative to Zebra Print. It buffs/heals more quickly because of diminishing returns in casting haste, yet provides lower magic power (attack), defense and health.

There are two best knight sets available, used for different purposes: Zweihander and Rhino Armor. Zweihander is the most offensive set, with, by far, the highest attack and speed, a very useful set bonus, yet with lowest health and defense, although this is compensated by giving immunity to Scalding, preventing enemies from inflicting further damage. Rhino Armor is the most defensive set, with, by far, the highest defense and highest health, but with, by far, the lowest speed. The Rhino Armor also has no Scald immunity like the Zweihander Armor, therefore this should be taken into account when choosing the Knight's Armor.

There are three options under debate for the best wizard set: Crow Trifles, Mojomancer and Diviner. Crow Trifles has better attack, better defense and better health than both Mojomancer and Diviner, but less speed and no set bonus. Mojomancer has a very good set bonus, which paired with Rage does extra damage and can potentially outdo Crow Trifles. In terms of DPS, Crow Trifles and Mojomancer are quite even. Diviner has worse health and defense than Mojomancer and Crow Trifles, but has the highest DPS value. Savant has the worst attack, defense and health, but has, by far, the highest speed. Still, Savants can be effectively used to apply fast shocks.
